Welcome to Podcasting for solopreneurs and FAQ Friday, where I answer a common podcasting question in just 5 minutes or less. Today's question is, what's your favorite AI tool for podcasting? This question came from a membership that I'm a part of. There are a lot of AI tools out there, from the broad all encompassing ChatGPT to specific tools for specific jobs, like removing filler words for your podcast, chopping up video into clips, creating show notes, and so on. I will sometimes use ChatGPT to help me brainstorm ideas or even organize my own ideas into an outline. I will never ever have it write a complete script or other long form content for me, though. I want my content to come from me and sound like me. Once I have recorded, I like to use the tool CastMagic to help me come up with a title, episode description, quotes for Pinterest pins, etc. I feel like CastMagic does a really good job of keeping my voice in the new content that it creates because it's pulling it directly out of the recording, which, of course, is my authentic voice.
You can set it up to automatically create certain pieces of content every single time, and you can also use their magic chat feature just like you would use chat GPT. So you can ask it to pull out certain pieces of information or ask it questions, and it gives you the answers, that type of thing. I have some colleagues who are big fans of the podcasting AI tool, Capsho. I wasn't a big fan of that one back when I was trying it out maybe a year or so ago. I didn't love the content that it created. It felt very AI to me, and it didn't sound like me and my voice. I haven't tried it again recently because I'm just simply happy with CastMagic, but I know that they have been working hard on improvements, so that one could be worth checking out as well just to give you some different options. But for me, personally, I love and use CastMagic for all of my episodes.
I'll leave my affiliate link in the episode description in case you would like to check it out. And if you have a podcasting question, click the send me your question link in the episode description, and I will answer it in an upcoming episode. Until next time. Happy podcasting.
