Welcome to Podcasting for Introverts. If you're a regular listener, you may be wondering why I'm in your podcast feed on a Friday. And that's because today marks the start of a brand new series, FAQ Fridays. I'll be answering a common podcasting question in 5 minutes or less every Friday. And I'll be doing these in addition to my regular Tuesday episodes. So it's even more content for you. If you have a podcasting question, just text me by looking for the text me your question feature in this episode's description. Or you can send me an email at Julia at the podcast teacher dot com.
When I don't have a question from you, I'll be answering common questions from my podcast Startup Academy students, 1 to 1 coaching clients, and questions that I'm frequently asked in Facebook groups or memberships that I'm a part of. I am super excited about FAQ Fridays, and I hope that you are too. Since I'm creeping closer and closer to my 5 minute max and I'm just starting with a question, I'm going to sort of do a cop out today and quickly answer a repeat question. It's one that I get almost on a daily basis, so I think it's worth repeating. And that question is, do I need to do video for my podcast? The short answer to this question is no. At least not in the beginning of your podcasting journey. It is something to consider after you've gotten your systems and workflow down for an audio only show, but it's really only worthwhile to add video if you can do it well. If you want a more detailed answer on this subject, I'm gonna refer you back to episode 41 and 3 things you need to know about the future of podcasting.
Thing number 1 is all about video. So if you missed that episode, go give it a listen. Next Friday, I'll be diving into a fresh and new podcasting question that I haven't covered on the show before. No more cop out answers of referring you back to a previous episode. So be sure to follow the show if you haven't done so already, and send me your podcasting questions for future episodes. Until next time. Happy podcasting.
